Just know it’s a quiet, thoughtful read, not an easy one.Įrpenbeck is a critically acclaimed author in Germany she was born in East Berlin in the 60s. I probably wouldn’t have finished it if not for the book club, but this was one of those rare books where it was worth pushing through. I read this for my book club, and it was a difficult read but it turned out to be a fascinating one. ![]()
